It’s so much easier to walk away!
Those invisible restraints seen arrayed.
No burden to there remain,
And a sad emancipation proclaim!
Complex thoughts, yes, and a mix of emotion
Under a cover and fear of delusion.
Erect a dam, contain and constrain!
All thoughts to flee, restrain.
The acres, are they too great?
A pasture too broad for shepherd and sheep?
Restless, confused, wounded, exasperated!
The lonely hidden acre, found.
Silent the lamb, no bleet raising.
Should the sheep pastor the shepherd also grazing?
Awake and prowling the wolf has found,
And to that hidden acre, quickly bound!
Unknown and overlooked with no protection,
No fence! Escape without detection.
Wanders again amidst the fray,
Because, it’s so much easier to walk away!
